In high – volume production, custom – made ejector pins are usually needed. These can have advanced surface treatments like chrome plating or nitriding. Chrome – plated pins resist corrosion better and have a smoother surface, reducing friction during ejection. Nitriding makes the pins harder and more wear – resistant. These treatments are important for high – volume production as they extend the pin lifespan and improve production efficiency.
